Overweight?

Well, as of this morning Sunday, September 25th, 2011... I am OFFICIALLY out of the OBESE category in the BMI determination. And, I'm now just considered OVERWEIGHT!

I also said good bye to the 180's..... just BARELY. But, enough to wave a little! :)

I'm not perfect..

and, I will NEVER even try to pretend to be.

That being said I started the C25K with ALL intentions of finishing it in a timely manner. However, I just slacked off and stopped doing it as I planned.

So, I decided to restart. But, I knew I had to switch SOMETHING up in order to succeed! I decided I would take a picture of my treadmill AFTER each session. And, post them on Facebook so that I could see the change. I knew that would motivate me.

I started from the very beginning on Monday! I was so nervous. I really didn't want to do it. But, I had promised myself I would, so I did.

And, I rocked it!

I'm off to complete day 2. And, then later today I'll come back and post pictures :)

Making some changes...

To be completely honest, I have slacked of a lot lately.

I don't want to make excuses as to why. It just happened.
So, now its time to jump back on and get with it.

Starting Monday my goals are going to change a little.

I'm going to make more small, short term goals and focus on them.
If my plan works out like I hope, it will over all put me closer to my end goal.
But, for now the smaller goals are more important.

First change... getting my vitamins in.
I am so bad at this. I have slowly been getting better. So maybe this will be the last time I complain how about bad I am with getting them in. Who knows. But, they need to be taken. So, yeah! Daily Goal 1!

Next goal, meet my daily water intake.
I am not sure I've reached this as often as I should of. I just never feel like I can drink enough and still be able to eat my three meals a day. But, I am going to switch things up and hope for the best. I've reinstalled a water tracking app on my phone in attempt to make it work.

Then, I would like to start pushing myself again.
When I first got my FitBit I used it as a huge motivation piece. I would push myself to get at least ten thousand steps a day.  Now, I find myself happy with anything. I'm over settling... back to ten thousand steps a day, if possible!

I also plan to restart C25K. I slacked at week 5 and its been down hill since. So, after some thinking my new plan is to restart at the very beginning. I plan to do it on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This time I am going to make sure nothing gets in my way. I'm going to take pictures after each completion. And then post them to Facebook... that way I can actually see my progress. I think that will help.

Overall, I am not doing horrible. I am losing weight, and hitting milestones that I didn't think I would this early out. But, at the end of the day this is all about a new LIFESTYLE change. I want to push myself into making these changes so that it can more of a habit than something I am making myself do. I started this journey so it could lead me to a healthier life... even after goal. So little by little I am going to get there!

My goal finally seems like a reality!!

My end goal of WLS is to become a stem cell donor.

My reasoning behind this goal is simple:

In 2008 my husband was diagnosed with a RARE form of Cancer. To be specific it is called NK-T Cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. It originally started in his nose, then spread to his jaw, and a spot was found in his chest. We tried two different Chemo regiments and some radiation but the doctors felt a stem cell transplant was his best option. They began to search the registry for compatible donors... and actually found three perfect matches. In January of 2009 he had his Stem Cell Transplant, and almost a year later we found out his Cancer was GONE!

The person who donated for Phil was an anonymous stranger. We know little about him. But, we hope to one day be able to reach out and say thank you. Ultimately this stranger saved my husbands life. And, I am forever thankful. There's just no words, or anything that could EVER measure up to the gift he has given our family..

I want to be able to help another family that unfortunately has to be in the same situation as us. It's a horrible place to be, and even though it's been three years, and one year in remission it's a VERY sensitive subject for me.. (As I cry typing this!!)

I started to research it the other day and found out that I am currently within the weight range to become a donor. I also read up to see what other restrictions they have. :)

While I have at least a year before I can actually make any movement towards this goal, I'm happy that it's actually reachable.

I want to get my body re-adjusted so that I am in the BEST health I can be. And, also reach my weight goal because they look at body size when determining a donor. And, since I'm constantly changing it would be better to wait!

:)

My Next BIG goal...

From the time I met my husband in 2006 until now I have ALWAYS been larger than him. As a girl, that has always sucked. But he has never made me feel bad about it. He always does a great job at calling me beautiful and making me feel good about myself.

However I really want to be able to fit into his clothes comfortably, sleep in his t shirt.... wear his dress jacket kind of thing.

So I made one of my goals to weigh less than him. And, let's just say that goal is looking more and more of a reality.

As of yesterday morning I weigh 248 pounds. I thought the last time my husband weighed in he was about 225. So I went to him and told him that I was getting close to him weight wise! Well, he ran into the bathroom and weighed himself. 238. More than I thought, which brings us even clothes that I thought. But, today he went to the hospital and weighed in at 242.

While it would be EASIER to go with the hospital scale because it's only a few pounds away. I am going to go with the one at home. Since I use that one.

I can't wait! I love it!!!!
